Clinical Context

FLAIR: 180 degree inversion pulse suppresses cerebrospinal fluid signal. Cerebrospinal fluid appears dark while lesions (stroke, MS plaques) appear bright. TR approximately 10000 milliseconds, TI approximately 2500 milliseconds.
