Purpose
Evaluates acute bleeding, calcification, and certain stones without contrast risk
Clinical Context
NECT (also called non-contrast CT) avoids contrast reaction risk and renal toxicity. Excellent for acute stroke, subarachnoid haemorrhage, and kidney stones.
