- Muscles - quadriceps femoris, sartorius, iliopsoas and pectineus
- Nerve - the femoral nerve (pectineus may also receive an obturator branch)
- Actions - flexion of the hip and extension of the knee
Sartorius is the longest muscle in the body and flexes, abducts and laterally rotates the hip while also flexing the knee.
